Linking activists and academics for research and education about courageous solutions to global problems.

Who we are
We are a network of students and faculty worldwide that work with some of the world’s leading changemakers in social and environmental justice. Our community at UC Santa Cruz supports students and researchers in forming connections with Right Livelihood Laureates and colleagues within our global network.
2025 Right Livelihood Conference
Join us for this year’s conference, where global changemakers will share their inspiring work in women’s activism, Indigenous rights, and environmental justice.
Featuring distinguished laureates Joan Carling, Reema Nanavaty, and Ryoko Shimizu, these two days of events will energize the next generation of advocates and strengthen UCSC’s role in global activism, with options to attend both in person and online.
